FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions

  • Yes! And many do. In 2024, more than 1 in every 3 campers were solo travelers.

We try our best to ensure there is never a solo traveler alone in a bunk with a group. So far we have been able to provide this every session, but it of course depends on the size of the groups.

Not all groups are big groups. Solo travelers plus people coming in pairs made up over 50% of bookings in 2024.

  • For easy group bookings, you have two options:

    1. One person books for multiple people on the website and fills out the information for each member of your group. Other members pay that person back for paying the deposits. Pros: you know that everyone gets in, Cons: One person is doing and paying for it.

    2. Each person books. If anyone doesn't get into the desired session, please sign up for a different session and contact us to be put on the "to change" and hopefully as people ask to move around or maybe cancel, we can put you together with your group. Pros: everyone pays for themselves. Cons: someone might need to be on a "to change list".

Groups with 6 or more total can get 10% off using code: GROUP10. If the group falls to below 6 before the time invoices are due, we will ask you to pay full price on the final invoice.

  • Campers can check in after 3pm on the first day of each camp session. Please let us know if you will arrive later than 7pm local time.

Check-out on the last day of your session is any time before 11 am.

We can hold your bags for you while you explore the local region outside those check-in and check-out times.

  • We welcome all women ages 21 and older.

Women 18+ can attend with a 21+ camper.

Camp Château is founded by women who support the LGBTQIA+ community. Trans women are women, and therefore welcome at our camp.

If you or someone you know is a TGNC person (transgender and/or gender non-conforming) and you're curious whether Camp Château is right for you, we encourage you to reach out to our Camp Director, Tegwen (they/them), who would be happy to help you decide.

We are planning additional camps focused on full gender inclusivity. Join the newsletter to stay up to date!

Camp instructors and staff may include all genders.

  • Absolutely! Many of our activities and ceremonies will recognize returners and give you memorabilia to recognize your stay.

We recommend coming every other year and sticking to the same session number to see old friends! If you came in 2024, you get early access to book 2026. People in 2025 receive early access for 2027, etc.

  • In order to book for yourself or someone else, we ask you to please provide the camper’s: Full Name, Email Address, Dietary/allergy needs, Accessibility/mobility needs, and Bunkmate Requests.

  • See the Code of Conduct for information.
