Camp Château Packing List

We know packing can be difficult. From comfy travel clothes to dinner in a château, it can be hard to save room and pack smart. Here are tips and tricks to help you along your journey.

First, let’s go over the ground rule:

“Can I (or a friend) easily carry this up a flight of stairs?”

Our big medieval diva, Château de Béduer, is bigger than you might think. Make sure to bring a piece of luggage that you can comfortably carry to the second floor

What is the biggest mistake campers made in the past?

They overpacked. So here’s what you’ll need and when:

Pool Time

  • Swimsuit

  • Book

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunhat

Excursions

  • Horseback Riding: Closed-toe shoes (like sneakers)

  • Summer Kayaking: Shorts & shirt you don’t mind getting wet, sandals with a heel strap recommended

  • Autumn Caves Excursion: Shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting potentially wet

  • Figeac Market: Purse/ fanny pack

Art Classes

Clothes you don’t mind getting messy!

  • We do have aprons to help protect your clothes.

Yoga & Games

Clothes you can move around comfortably in

  • Leggings are always a safe bet

Apero & Dinner

This is the opportunity a lot of campers took to wear their favorite sundress. It is not a formal camp or ‘event’. We take a group photograph on the last Apero of the week.

Rural Life

If it rains…

  • Light Raincoat

  • Shoes that can get muddy

  • Sweater(s) for colder moments

  • Hiking shoes/ sandals

What should you NOT bring?

On-site we have:

  • USB & USB-C charging stations in each room

  • Hairdryers in each bathroom

  • Towels (Bath & Pool)

  • Fresh linens provided

  • Umbrellas

  • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash

To purchase in our shop we have:

  • Sunblock (50 SPF)

  • Bugspray

  • Cute merch!

  • Laundry tokens (1= wash, 2= wash & dry)

Have you packed and can’t think of what to take out?

You probably dont need:

  • More than 7 outfits

  • A robe

  • More than 2 shoes options

  • 3 books

  • More than 3 dresses

  • More than one purse, bag, or fanny pack

  • More than one sunhat

I hope this was helpful! Feel free to use the Facebook group to chat more about packing tips and useful information. You can also reach out to me any time and I would be happy to help.

Cordialement,
